SAMEER GARDEZI is a Pakistani-Muslim WGA Award Winning writer known for his satire and grounded absurdism. He has written for several networks/streamers including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, The CW, FOX, ABC, NBC and Netflix. He has worked on such critically acclaimed shows as ALIENS IN AMERICA, Matthew Perry’s MR. SUNSHINE, and MODERN FAMILY, to name a few.

Sameer has spent most of his time developing in television, selling his first pilot to Fox about a non-profit made up of assholes. He most recently created EAST OF LA BREA, a dramedy digital series about two Muslim-American woman trying to make it in LA with Paul Feig executive producing.

Currently, Sameer is a writer on the Netflix series TWITS created by Phil Johnston and based on the adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel, wrapped his comedy caper feature HOT MESS HOLIDAY with Kal Penn which will air on Comedy Central and Paramount+ this winter, and scribing his next feature, an animated comedy at Netflix.
